Diamond Buying Guide
How to choose the perfect diamond?
The happiest occasions of our lives are often those which are capped by the giving of something precious; whether a diploma for the excited grad, or a certificate of thanks for a job well done, or some other item of value.
When it comes to events of a highly personal nature, jewellery is the right gift especially in the form of a diamond ring suitable to mark an engagement, wedding, or an anniversary.
Cut
Cut is probably the most important, and most challenging, of the four Cs to understand. The brilliance of a diamond depends heavily on its cut. A well-cut diamond appears brilliant and fiery, while a badly cut diamond looks dull and lifeless, despite having a good colour and clarity grade.
Color
The color of a diamond is evaluated in terms of its degree of being colorless. The ideal diamond is completely colorless, and the most expensive. However, most diamonds, which appear colorless, actually have slight tones of yellow or brown.
Clarity
Clarity is a measure of the cleanliness or purity of a diamond. A diamond’s clarity rating is determined by the number, size, type and location of inclusions under 10 x magnifications.
Carat Weight
Carat Weight” is simply the weight of the diamond. The Carat weight of a diamond determines the size, and appearance of your ring or jewellery.
Shape
Shape refers to the overall outline of the diamond when viewed from the top.
Diamond Care
Diamonds are the hardest substance known, but that doesn’t mean we can bring them back to life with any old cleanser. We offer you some tips to take care of your precious jewels.

Diamond Grading
When purchasing certified diamonds, it is important to understand the diamond grading criteria used by the laboratories performing the certification. Diamond grading covers numerous aspects of each individual diamond’s qualities, but there are four grades which are critical to understand: cut; clarity; color; and carat weight.
Certification
Certificates are proof of a diamond’s identity, authenticity and value. A certificate will indicate a diamond’s exact measurements, weight, cut and overall quality. A certificate will precisely point out a diamond’s individual characteristics as well as be a useful tool while identifying a stone.
